How does it compare? Let’s settle this once and for all!

There have been a myriad of studies done to determine a male’s average penis size.  The early studies, as far back as Kinsey in the 60s, are not entirely accepted since most of the scientists took measurements of their own penis.  This lends the study to scrutiny and bias.  Studies today also run into complications; no one can figure out what to measure (length, girth or both), how to measure, when to measure (erect, flaccid or stretched penis), the degree to which a study sample is represented (who is measured, what age, what race, what medical condition…) and who does the measuring.  As we now know from Kinsey, self-reported measurements of your own penis are usually bigger than measurements taken by others.

However, it is possible to determine an average range of penis sizes.  A worldwide study of several penis size research projects undertaken over the last half century and involving over 11,000 participants states that the average erect size of the adult penis is ….. DRUM ROLL PLEASE…… between 5.5″ and 6.2″ in length and 4.7″ and 5.1″ in circumference.  Hm.  Well, now what do we talk about?
